Die Maschine wird sogar frei Bahnhof Bodenburg auf einem Flachwagen angeliefert. Lediglich die Abladeaktion geht auf Kosten der AHE. Damit kommt man unverhofft zu einem weiteren Triebfahrzeug. Nach einigen ersten Probefahrten zeigt sich jedoch schnell, dass die Lok einen gr\u00f6\u00dferen technischen Schaden am Getriebe aufweist. Au\u00dferdem sind die Kuppelstangen verbogen. Da \u00fcberdies mit der K\u00f6 I (VL4) eine betriebsf\u00e4hige Rangierlok zur Verf\u00fcgung steht, wird eine Reparatur zur\u00fcckgestellt. Es fehlen im \u00dcbrigen dem jungen Verein Erfahrung und Werkzeuge f\u00fcr umfangreiche Reparaturen dieser Art. Als die Maschine mit versehentlich verunreinigtem Treibstoff betankt wird und der Motor sich nicht wieder in Gang bringen l\u00e4sst, wird sie im Bahnhof Bodenburg abgestellt, wo sie etliche Jahre verbringt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>17 Jahre Abstellzeit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"is-layout-flex wp-container-6 wp-block-columns\">\n<div class=\"is-layout-flow wp-block-column\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"496\" height=\"337\" src=\"https:\/\/www.almetalbahn-online.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/wirus4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2457\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.almetalbahn-online.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/wirus4.jpg 496w, https:\/\/www.almetalbahn-online.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/wirus4-300x204.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 496px) 100vw, 496px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"is-layout-flow wp-block-column\">\n<p> Mitte der achtziger Jahre wird schlie\u00dflich durch ein ehemaliges Mitglied  ein halbherziger Reparaturversuch gestartet, der jedoch nach der  Demontage der Armaturen schnell eingestellt wird. So angefangen  verbleibt die Lok. Jahrelang regnet es \u00fcberdies durch den Auspuff in den  Motor. Randalierende Jugendliche zerst\u00f6ren sowohl die Lampen, als auch  alles andere, was die Lok an Verglasung zu bieten hat. Dieckow<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Gl\u00fccklicherweise nimmt sich das 1997 das noch neue Vereinsmitglied Michael B\u00f6rngen der Lok an und kauft sie dem Verein ab. Damit beginnt die bis dato umfangreichste Lokaufarbeitung in Almstedt: Die Kuppelstangen werden gerichtet, ein gebrochenes Federpaket getauscht, der festsitzende Motor wieder zum Laufen gebracht, das Getriebe repariert, um nur die wichtigsten Arbeiten zu nennen. Jahrelang kann man die Maschine nur ohne ihre Aufbauten bewundern. Dabei wirkt ihr Eigner bei Probefahrten eher wie ein Kapit\u00e4n mit seinem Steuerrad als ein Lokf\u00fchrer mit dem Gangwahlrad. Der eigenwillige Eindruck wird noch verst\u00e4rkt durch den charakteristischen Auspuffklang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Im Jahr 2001 kann die Aufarbeitung zu einem gl\u00fccklichen Ende gebracht werden: Die Aufbauten werden gesandstrahlt, grundiert und montiert. Danach erfolgt die Lackierung in einem frischen Gr\u00fcnton. Dieser entspricht zugegebenerma\u00dfen zwar keinem &#8222;historischen&#8220; Farbton, den die Lok je besessen hat, jedoch im Gegensatz zu Staatsbahnmaschinen hat es f\u00fcr Privatbahnloks keine Farbvorschrift gegeben, so dass man hier sehr frei w\u00e4hlen kann. Unseren Fahrzeugpark jedenfalls frischt die Farbe angenehm auf!
